Debbie Tedrick
(Co-Director, Producer, Music Director)
Debbie is a theater and vocal music instructor, performer (piano/voice), and arts administrator. During her career, she has lived in Los Angeles, Austin, Orlando, Daytona, and Detroit. After receiving her MFA in Musical Theatre from UCF Orlando, she worked as a Professor of Theater at UCF, teaching graduate and undergraduate classes in Vocal Pedagogy & Style, Theater History & Dramatic Literature. Returning to Detroit to get married, Debbie continues teaching, directing, producing, and performing music for productions, camps, workshops and events. Debbie performs regularly in the show, Tony n’ Tina’s Wedding, where she has been the Music Director for both Detroit and Orlando since 1998. Debbie owns the company, InterACT Entertainment which books corporate and private music and theater events and productions for adults and youth. As a writer, Debbie has published academic, show reviews, and entertainment articles for The Sondheim Review. Degrees include: Master of Fine Arts in Musical Theater - University of Central Florida, Orlando. Bachelor of Music in Voice (Classical/Opera) - California State University, Los Angeles (Minor Emphasis: Theater). Coursework toward Master of Music Education (pending) - The University of Michigan, Ann Arbor. Post Baccalaureate work in vocal jazz, music theory, and theater - The University of Texas, Austin.
